Medicare Part D presentation

A nearby senior center has asked your local HIM association to provide some education on Medicare Part D for their soon-to-be Medicare eligible members.

Prepare an educational presentation for the senior center. Visit the Medicare website at www.medicare.gov for assistance in developing your session. Make sure your presentation includes information on the donut hole. There is a wealth of information about Medicare Part D currently on the Medicare website. For example, the Drug Coverage (Part D) tab provides the following options:

How to get prescription drug coverage

What Medicare Part D drug plans cover

Costs for Medicare drug coverage

How Part D works with other insurance

The educational session should be somewhat brief. Information should be presented in layman terms. Definitions should be provided for unfamiliar terms that are not common terms for the general public. Acronyms should be avoided or defined. Also do not forget if you use other sources to cite them.
