Answer three questions from the following list with at least half a page response for each question. There is no minimum or maximum number of sources but everything has to be in unique(own) language. Do not put whole quotes from sources in answers. site sources please.
1. While it is said that every country has a distinct political culture, surely this phenomenon differs among the vast range of democratic, authoritarian, and mixed regimes. Explain the similarities and differences in the expected political cultures among different regime types, with particular reference to issues such as social capital, universal freedoms, and economic liberty/liberalization. Why should we expect that regime type has an impact on how these and other requisites of democracy manifest themselves in the day-to-day affairs of states?
2. Explain the concept of a research design and the role of independent and dependent variables. Write a hypothesis on how two aspects of political culture can relate to each other in using the concepts of an Independent Variable, Dependent Variable, and Control Variables.
3. For many years, scholars and politicians have advanced the idea of the democratic peace theory, which avers that democratic states are less likely to engage in aggressive behavior (e.g. threats, intimidation, physical conflict, etc.) with one another. What are the theoretical and empirical foundations of the democratic peace theory, and does history actually confirm the merits of this claim? Please cite specific examples in history to support your argument.
