Voter Participation

In approximately two pages, answer the following questions: Are you registered to vote? Why or why not? If you are registered to vote, do you usually vote, occasionally vote, or almost never vote? Why? Do you tend to vote more in certain elections, such as local, state, or national elections or primaries? Why? Think about your family and friends. Are they registered to vote? Do they usually vote in elections? What reasons do you think they have for either voting or not voting? In your opinion, is it a problem that many people do not vote in elections in the United States? Why or why not? Eugene V. Explain how this attitude influenced the 2000 Presidential election.
