Health, stress

Consider the following questions about stress:

1. Your instructor notes that our personal appraisal of events help determine how stressful these events are for us. Think about two daily hassles that often annoy, frustrate, or irritate you. How might altering your perceptions or interpretations about those events reduce that stress?

2. Stress is not all bad. What do you think is good about stress? Back up your ideas with evidence!

3. Now thinking about your stress levels and what you are learning about stress management, what can you do to better manage your stress? Be specific. Create a health plan. When establishing a goal for yourself, the more specific you are, the more likely you will achieve the goal. Also your goal must be challenging but reachable.
