Double-space the body of your paper
Single-space your footnotes
Print papers single-sided
Please use Times New Roman, 12-point font for the body of your paper
Footnotes should be in 10-point font, also Times New Roman
Use 1-inch margins (top, bottom, and sides of page)
Papers should be8 FULL PAGES MINIMUM, not counting your bibliography
Maximum page length is 12 full pages, not counting your bibliography
Include page numbers on your paper (you do not have to include the page number on the first page, but there should be a page number on all other pages)
Use footnotes, not endnotes or internal referencing
Properly cite sources in your footnotes and bibliography, using Chicago Manual of Style formatting (for some examples, see: http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide.html; there is a complete online copy of the 16thedition available through the TAMU library)
The first time you cite a source in a footnote, you need to provide a full citation; once youve provided the full citation, you can shorten the citation in later footnotes
After the body of your paper, begin your Bibliography on a new page
Please separate your bibliography into a section for your primary sources, and a section for your secondary sources
Within each section, your sources should be arranged alphabetically, by last name of the author (or the last name of the first author if there are multiple authors), or by the first word in the title if there is no author
Please make sure to properly format the bibliography and your sources
Remember, a bibliography is different than works cited page. A bibliography includes all of the sources you used for your research, so give yourself credit for all of the research youve done, even if you dont directly cite a source in your paper
