Citizenship, Nationality, and Race

watch the documentary “13th” available through Netflix. Compare and contrast how each talk about race, ethnicity, citizenship, and nationality. Look at how anthropologists define race and compare/contrast that to how the U.S. government defines citizenship and race. Then, look critically at how the documentary discusses “slavery”. How are bodies racialized in the U.S. according to the documentary? Do we have a caste system? What might we learn about the construction of race, ethnicity or nationalism by this comparison? You may want to conclude by describing and analyzing an experience you have had with racism or ethnic nationalism. (Writing exercises should all be at least 600 words.)
