(b) 4 key questions that naturally arise from the text. (c) Textual context: what comes before and after your text? Why? (d) Historical Background: Any non-biblical information (history, culture) that might be helpful. (e) Old Testament Background: Any biblical information regarding the historical context (events, pertinent culture, etc.) that might be helpful. (f) Word Study: What are the key words of the passage? Explain, define and present the implications. (g) The Meaning of the text: Explain the interpretation of the passage with attention to its historical and textual context. (h) Contemporary application: What are the practical implications of the texts. Grading is based on quality of content, clarity, use of sources, technical format, and English language (grammar, spelling, and style).
