The Fourth Aim

In this course you have learned about the Triple Aim that has been driving healthcare decision-making for more than a decade. It requires quality outcome measures for: 1) improving the patient/consumer experience, 2) reducing overall healthcare costs, and 3) improving the health of populations. However, there is also a Fourth Aim: Care of the Provider. As future healthcare leaders, you will be required to also address the needs of providers, key stakeholders in the overall equation.
